KCIC Consulting Limited (KCL) in partnership with Concree SAS are implementing the adaptation and resilience (A&R) themed accelerator in Africa programme for early to mid-stage start-ups from October 2022 to May 2023.

Once you start making an application a unique link will be sent to your email which you can use to complete the application later. Please ensure that you input your email correctly, also check your Junk/Spam email folder in-case our notification was filtered by your email.

You will receive a confirmation email in your inbox to confirm that your application is complete. If you have not received an email, please do the following:

  1. Check your spam/junk email folder to confirm the notification is not there.
  2. Use the unique link sent to your email to resume your application and click Submit
  3. Confirm that you have received a notification for finishing your application.

Due diligence will be conducted in collaboration with our local partners to verify the authenticity of the claims made in the application.

The 2022 Adaptation and Resilience Accelerator will select 16 winners.

Yes. Your business must be formally registered to qualify.

Eligible companies must be below 5 years.

We will not ask for sensitive and proprietary information in our application forms and we will sign non-disclosure agreements, if your innovation is selected for the next step to ensure that your intellectual property rights are safe.

Yes businesses which are less than five years since their first registration are eligible to apply.

Yes. We do not restrict applicants from other programmes in joining the Adaptation and Resilience ClimAccelerator in Africa.

No. Only formally registered companies are eligible.

Your business must demonstrate a climate adaptation and resilience solution

You must have a business first. This call will not be accepting ideas.

It is unlikely that we will have one country dominating the innovations received. However, we will have a panel of external jurists who will access the various applications and objectively score them to ensure equal representation

Yes you can have more than one application, from formally registered businesses.

This call is open to all age groups. The business must be formally registered as a company.

Unfortunately, the call does not accept proposals and idea stage businesses. You need to demonstrate some form of traction and selling the product in the market.

Yes. We will utilize mentors during the acceleration and details will be share during that stage of the programme.

The application must be already tested in the market and we will not be accepting proposals or ideas. The business must be formally registered as a company.
Through consistent cashflows for the past two years from your audited financial statements.
The winners will be selected on an overall basis
This being a pilot, and with a limitation of resources we are only able to support 16 winners, but with the programme expansion we will expand to cover more winners in subsequent cohorts.
The innovation must be able to show some traction and therefore the 2 year requirement being in the market.
Your business must be below five years with atleast two years of revenues.
You cannot apply for the same innovation twice
Winners will receive a conditional grant of €2,500.
