Corporates in Climate Action Breakfast

KCIC Consulting in partnership with the Standard Media Group, NETFUND, and KEPSA organized a 2-hour breakfast session on 6th July 2022 at Sarova Panafric bringing together multi-sectoral organizations to advance commitments towards the achievement of Kenya’s NDCs ahead of COP27, the African COP. The session was facilitated by WWF-Kenya and the Society of Crop Agribusiness Advisors (SOCAA).

The physical event was critical in identifying synergetic approaches and pulling efforts and resources for climate action. The breakfast comprised of keynote speeches from government, non-government, and private sector representatives, a panel session, a launch of the J2C masterplan with a call to action, and a networking session. The Cabinet Secretary Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Keriako Tobiko was the Chief Guest.

Outcomes

Over 100 high level participants drawn from government agencies, private sector, non-government and multilateral organisations implementing climate action in Kenya attended and participated in the breakfast. It offered a strategic platform for multi sector players to network and defined common synergies leading to COP27.
