Wood Architect Climathon Programme
Climathon is a global climate action campaign/movement connecting cities and citizens of all age groups to engage in changing their area for the better. Climathon is about raising awareness, providing climate-relevant learnings, strengthening local ecosystems, and inspiring future climate action in cities and regions. It is an opportunity for citizens and innovators to co-create ideas that address local climate challenges with a global impact.
During the event taking place in Nairobi on October 22nd, participants are invited to explore and better understand either of the two following challenges and design bottom-up innovative solutions
- How can we make timber the go-to building material in Nairobi?
- How can we build up a local, sustainable timber industry in East Africa?
